My Bambino was stuck alternating 1+2 cup lights even though I had recently ran a clean cycle. It would output water once, but wouldn’t heat it up and nothing seemed to get it out of this. Even holding 1 cup+steam to turn off, then holding 1+2 cup to reset didn’t fix it.
The fix:
- Unplug it from wall. Plug it back in.
- Press 2 cup and let it output cold water.
- Wait…The lights will keep alternating and after some time, It will output water again on its own.
- It will keep doing this until the water tank is empty. Then it will light up in its normal “ready” state
- Refill the water tank
- Run the steam wand to prime the pump (it wouldn’t output water for me until I did this)
- Press 1 or 2 cup. Should be back to normal, outputing steamed water.
What I think happened here is it got stuck in some sort of cleaning loop. All it wants to do is finish the cleaning cycle by emptying the water tank. Until the tank gets empty, it refuses to do anything else.
